Cordelier's Cafe

A Chapel Road cafe with actual seating
One of five cafes that opened around Bandra in March 2026, and one of the better ones for sitting down. Chapel Road is narrow and mostly residential, so the crowd stays local on weekdays.
The menu runs all day: coffee, bakes, plates that work at any hour. Weekend afternoons fill up with the Bandra walking crowd.

Cordeliers Cafe is located in the calm lanes of Bandra, making it a peaceful spot away from the city’s hustle. Set inside a beautiful bungalow, the café has made excellent use of its space. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, the seating is systematically arranged and the coffee and dessert counter adds to the charm of the interiors. The menu offers a good variety of café favourites including pastas, sandwiches, small plates and beverages. There are plenty of options to choose from, the prices are similar to other cafés in the area and the quality of food served is impressive. Went here for a late lunch and Staff Parshuram was extremely attentive and proactive throughout the meal, making the overall experience even better. What We Had - APPETISERS~ Grilled Prawns with Mango Pico De Galo. 4/5 Smokey Chicken Pide. 4/5 MAINS~ Purple Orecchiette with Cream Cheese. 4/5 Quinotto. 4/5 DESSERT~ Mango Tiramisu. 5/5 BEVERAGES~ Mango Coconut Cooler. 5/5 Bandra Burnt Caramel Latte. 5/5 Classic Hot Chocolate. 5/5 Overall, Cordeliers Cafe is definitely worth visiting for its beautiful location, relaxing ambience, good food and an excellent selection of beverages.

Tucked away in the charming lanes of Bandra Village on Chapel Road, Cordelier’s Café is one of those little gems that instantly wins you over with its setting. The first thing that catches your attention is how beautifully put together the space is...quaint, cozy and effortlessly inviting. What makes it even more special is that it’s quite clearly an old house that has been converted into a café and that gives it such a distinct warmth and character. It carries that lived-in, homely charm that instantly makes you feel comfortable. The interiors are beautifully done with thoughtful little details that complement the old-world structure rather than take away from it. There’s a certain coziness to the space that makes you want to slow down and stay a little longer. I visited on a late Monday morning and the café was wonderfully quiet, empty which made the experience even more special. It felt like having this charming little corner all to myself. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for unhurried conversations, catching up with a friend over coffee or simply taking a pause from the rush outside. The staff were warm, friendly and courteous which only added to the comfort of the experience. While the menu is decent, I’d say don’t go here expecting anything over the top, go for the ambience, the charm and the feeling the place gives you. It’s pretty, peaceful, cozy and absolutely worth a visit. Being tucked inside Bandra Village means parking is practically non-existent, so don’t expect to find a spot nearby. Even Ubers often avoid coming into the narrow lanes because they can get quite crowded and finding a rickshaw can be a matter of pure luck. Your best bet is to walk out to the main road or simply ask your driver to pick you up once you’re done.

Nestled in the tiny lane behind Hill road, this cafe stands out with its single structure painted in black with a beautiful warm glow of yellow lights peeking from the quaint lightly curtain covered windows. Giving just enough view to peak curiosity and be drawn in with the waft of coffee and the glistening chandeliers. Had the cappuccino and it was nice and also tried the cold coffee but the star of the evening was the hazelnut bomboloni that was warm and oozing was the most delicious hazelnut chocolate goo. A must try.
