An all-day cafe inside the NCPA, built around fire

Fire is the whole design brief here. DR&W turned charring and slow cooking into deep reds, oxidised greys and sooty black across exposed brick, IPS finishes and raw metal, with a patinated brass bar anchoring the room and a Bollywood Art Project mural carrying the theme further.

Rahul Akerkar and Jaydeep Mukherjee run the kitchen, grilling over live flame across a European menu. A communal table sits alongside private booths, good for a solo breakfast before a matinee or dinner after a show.
