Cherub murals and mud crab in Bandra

Red banquettes on one side, mismatched wooden chairs on the other, and a chip-tile floor underneath: Kaspers looks like it grew room by room. Kacper Abolik, who painted the murals at Horses in LA, spent 21 days covering the walls, ceiling and bathroom in pastel cherubs.

The food is European bistro with India sneaking in. Mud crab gratin with lamb brain and kasundi dijonnaise came out of staff meals cooked by the Bengali kitchen crew. Veal cheek and sweetbread cromesquis land on green chutney with fried chillies, a nod to vada pav. Dinner only, but stay late for warm olives and merguez frites.

LHad a lovely experience at Kaspers Restaurant & Bar in Bandra. The place has a warm, lively atmosphere and is perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or family. The food was well presented, flavourful, and the menu had a good variety of options. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. A great addition to Bandra’s dining scene—definitely worth visiting for the ambience, food, and overall experience.

Walked in thinking "European bistro," walked out realizing this kitchen just gets well-traveled Indian palates. Nothing here plays it safe, everything hits hard and lands clean. Charred Dates with Smoked Goat's Curd and Rosemary, gone in minutes. Tandoori Crab Donostiarra, genuinely one of the best things I've eaten in Mumbai this year. The Salt Roasted Tiger Prawns with Prawn Head Rouille and Bouillabaisse Jus were insane. Sea Bream Tartare with Meunière Vinaigrette, just omg. Pasta alla vodka came in heavy and satisfying, exactly what you want after a couple of cocktails. Closed it out with a nutmeg and amaretto crème caramel. Soft, cold, fresh, creamier than we could've imagined. Cocktails are spot on. Service is attentive without hovering. Room is cozy, candlelit, the kind of place you don't rush out of. 10/10. Go hungry.

A small but fabulous bistro with some memorable dishes. Worth a trip just for the burger but most dishes were up to the mark. The thick cut Bacon and Spinach Pie are worth going back for. The coffee Madelines were delicious.

This is probably one of the rare and maybe a star of a restaurant in the bustling Mumbai restaurant scene which at best across the board are all 3 star at most on any given Sunday. We had a great meal and very attentive service. The sound levels are great and the music curation is incredibly accurate to create the vibe that transports you out of Mumbai for a couple of hours. Cornish Hen was to die for and the creativity behind the French Onion Soup was great. Overall the experience was very positive and gratifying until the end when they didn't know how to handle situations that arose fron the backed up kitchen. Each main course was served one at a time instead of all at once when 4 people are dining. The last guest didn't get their main course for 20 mins after the 1st guest so we had to ask to have it cancelled. The kitchen then insisted to send it to the table which was infuriating. The management and staff didn't have the common hospitality etiquette of at least offering the dish gratis to compensate and or to encourage the table to try it since it was already made. A tue lack of global hospitality standards exists across Mumbai so I'm not surprised by any measure. We had a chat with the manager so then appologised but yet made excuses and didn't have the common sense on hot to handle the situation. Instead of offering a glass of wine or a desert as a sign an apology the manager continued about his business like it never happened. In the end then did comp a desert but had to be asked if they maybe sending one before we ordered. What should have been a 5 star experience ended up with a very upset guest and a 3.5 star experience. Would go back for the food but they need to empower the staff to have autonomy in how to handle issues the kitchen creates. Would still recommend this a fun and casual fine dining destination for a city like Mumbai where finding a decent meal at a restaurant where the food is not spiced up for the Indian palette and or is just multi cusine is a treat. Wish them the best.
