An underground, minimalist bar on Braga from the team behind Makna and Sang Maha

BSMT opened on Jalan Braga in early 2025, a collaboration between the teams behind Makna and Sang Maha, and was picked up by Hypebeast around March that year as one of the new bars worth knowing on the street. The design keeps to a stripped-back, minimalist look, concrete and low light rather than the vintage-Braga aesthetic most bars on this block lean into.

The cocktail list favors craft over spectacle, built on ingredient quality rather than a long menu of signature drinks. It reads as a deliberate contrast to Braga's older colonial-facade bars, an underground room on a street mostly known for looking backward.

Had such a fun night at BMST Bar. Drinks were amazing, the vibe was so good, one of those places you end up staying way longer than planned. Dj was the best, made the whole experience even better. Loved the bar setup too, it’s really open and social so you actually end up chatting to people around you which is nice. And the photo booth is such a fun touch. Would definitely go back.

Wow what a nice surprise, a genuinely cool bar in Braga! Just follow the pink lights downstairs to a speakeasy with great decor, cool chill music and perfect cocktails perfectly mixed by Putri. I was early here but I'm told it gets so busy weekend nights that a reservation is required. Be warned. But its worth it.

Another cozy bar in Bandung, located in a building basement. Speak easy bar and recommend to hang out with friends. Must try Liquid Temptation cocktail. Soon will have live music but would be good if can maintain the speak easy mode.

a bar/lounge in the basement, hence the name. music can be a tad too loud, more appropriate if u come in group. nice vibe with low lighting.
