En Par opened on the second floor of a building on Jl. Suryo in November 2024, a small cocktail bar built around Indonesian arak as its base spirit rather than the usual gin-and-rum bar canon. The design mixes modern-tropical materials with a neo-vintage layout, and a DJ booth is built into the room rather than added as an afterthought.
The arak focus is still unusual in Jakarta's cocktail scene, where imported spirits dominate most menus, and En Par uses it as the throughline for a cocktail list that changes with what the bar can source locally.

The place is stunning, I love the ambience of the place, but: - The waiters didn’t explain anything about the cocktails that they have, even when we asked they didn’t give enough explanation - The options of the drinks are very limited - Watered cocktails. Barely tastes the alcohol, it was just like a mocktails honestly plus the glass is so small?! - There are other customer who brought food by themselves, and the smells spread out to the entire room 🥴😷 - We would say this place is probably good for those who wants to have an “aesthetic” instagram post, but if you were someone who wants to enjoy a good cocktail, we wouldn’t have this place as a top of the mind. Despite that this place has a lot of potential, but it looks like they have to do a lot of homework.

The place has a cool vibe, kind of a mix between Chinese and Indonesian styles. First time walking in, it felt really homey. The wooden touches make it feel super cozy. It's a nice spot to hang out, but not for my eyes. Like some other people said, the ventilation could be better. The combo of AC and smoke made my eyes sting a bit. Drinks just OK, nothing special, but not bad either. Same with the food. But the sambal that came with gorengan, that really surprised me, THAT IS SOOO GOOD! The service was great. The staff were super friendly and made the place feel even warmer and more welcoming.

Great ambience, lovely music, super friendly staff, the cocktails are nice but the beer is kind of overpriced. En Par is a cozy spot that makes you feel welcome right away.

I didn't know this new bar is Arak-focused. Hence the choice for classics is very limited, and a lot of drinks they offered on the menu are super diluted. But the atmosphere is nice nestled above the restaurant named fork. Bits of the ancient chinese house theme, but the drinks aren't compatible to my palate, sadly. And also the room facing the window isn't properly ventilated; hence, filled with smoke stinks.
