A Union Group and Jigger & Pony bar inside the Grand Hyatt, a menu built around Boccioni's 1910 painting

Cosmo Pony opened inside the Grand Hyatt Jakarta on Jl. M.H. Thamrin Kav. 28-30 in July 2024, a joint project between Union Group and the Singapore-based Jigger & Pony Group. The opening cocktail menu, titled Rising City, drew its inspiration directly from Umberto Boccioni's 1910 Futurist painting of the same name, translating the painting's sense of motion into the drink list rather than a literal theme.

The hotel setting gives it a steadier baseline of guests than a standalone bar would draw, while the Jigger & Pony pedigree, a group with bars across several Asian cities, brings a level of craft-cocktail credibility the Thamrin hotel bar circuit hadn't previously had.

Attentive waitress by the name Ze (hails all the way from Madano). Been there 2 days in a row because the bar seating view overlooking Kempinski Hotel is just picturesque! Be sure to book in advance before you head there!

The highlight is definitely their cocktails that are on rotation. The staff are well versed with their menus and are very helpful should we need some suggestions. The food was pretty good but outshined by the drinks. I had the mocktail called "Probiotic" which was really refreshing to start. Another cocktail which used soy sauce, if you're adventurous then this one is really good especially when mixed with the salted chocolate. The other cocktail that was notable was the rice with rengginang and please give it a try before they are off the rotation! Reservation is definitely the best way to go!

I really loved the ambiance. I ordered some snacks, and they were delicious. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try the cocktails. I had white wine and a Glenfiddich whiskey instead. The service was excellent staff were friendly and very helpful in giving the best recommendations.

Located in Grand Hyatt Jakarta, had a quick visit before heading back to airport. Cocktails and vibes were great, staffs were friendly and nice service. If there has a smoke free zone that would be better.
