An exclusive whisky venue inside Bumi Pakubuwono, a William Grant & Sons showcase with tasting rooms
The Distillers Library opened inside Bumi Pakubuwono in January 2024, built as a dedicated whisky venue rather than a general cocktail bar, showcasing single malts from William Grant & Sons alongside a retail storefront and private tasting rooms for collectors. The format is closer to a members' club than a walk-in bar, built for people who already know what they are looking for in a whisky list.
That specificity sets it apart from Jakarta's broader whisky-and-cigar bar category, most of which treat spirits as one menu section among several rather than the entire premise of the room.

If I had to choose the happiest moment of my short whiskey life, it would be today, visiting here. You must visit here to experience the real 'whiskey' journey in Indonesia. It is worth the package, and you can communicate with not only whiskey experts, but also true people who are truly into whiskey.

Invited to the Ladyburn Edition One unveiling which is a whisky from a Ghost Distillery. First of all, I love the place, you will be transported from one room to another, from the store to the bar table just inside which you can enjoy whisky and discuss around the whisky types and tasting notes. There is also a Private Room which is hidden behind a double door. This place is only for VIPās or by an invitation. There is another room which is the Inner sanctum that only a view people could get in. Thatās what I can tell. No picture allowed inside the room. Great whisky sommelier, got a broad knowledge and great communication skill. Will be back with some whisky enthusiasts.
