Rescued-fabric fashion in a Grafton Street arcade

Two Brown Thomas veterans traded department-store racks for their own edit. John Redmond and Karen Higgins spent over 30 years combined there before launching Ecru Studios online in 2022, then landing a permanent shop in the Westbury Mall in 2024.

Expect womenswear and accessories alongside home pieces, some cut from rescued fabric rather than new cloth. The hours are short and the following is loyal, more atelier than mall shop.

Good to know

• Opening days are limited, roughly Thursday to Saturday from 10.30am; check their Instagram before making the trip.
• Some pieces are made from rescued fabrics in limited runs and don't come back once sold.
