A 97-year-old house doing tea, exhibitions and pop-ups
gaya opened on 10 January 2026 in a house on Asagaya-kita that was built 97 years ago and restored rather than replaced. Half of it is a tea room, the other half hosts exhibitions and pop-ups.
What is on changes constantly, so check before travelling across town. On a quiet weekday the tatami room alone justifies the trip out to Asagaya.
