A neighborhood chaikhana built for slow group meals

Kok Choy sits inside the Bukhar Zhyrau Towers residential complex, and it's built for the long haul: communal tables, family-size portions, meals meant to stretch over a couple of hours instead of a quick lunch break.

Most nights it's full of residents from the towers around it, plus a steady trickle of people who cross town just for the kitchen.
