The Mini Cafe & Restaurant

Coffee among the rice fields, across the river
Cross the footbridge out of central Vang Vieng and the town's postcard scenery turns into your table. Chairs sit scattered among the paddies with the karst wall behind them, the same view most people only get from a viewpoint hike.
The menu keeps to coffee, juices and a handful of plates, which is really the point. Come for a slow morning or golden hour, not a full dinner, and skip the busier cafes across the river.

Food is not bad but can’t communicate well

The environment is quite nice and it could be a good cafe. Unfortunately the staff is playing on their smartphones and don’t take care of their costumer. We‘ve been there with kids and had to wait 45 minutes for a simple croffle. I’m sorry to say this, in my opinion it doesn’t deserve 4 or 5 stars at all.

This is one of those cafes and restaurants that is clearly made for higher end clientale. It is located next to beautiful views of mountains and has plenty of parking. The location is beautiful with outdoor seating and wonderful views of the mountain. You can also walk on a deck that leads to the immaculate views. The matcha frappe I ordered was the best cold matcha drink I have ever tasted here in Laos. It was well done and there was a lot of taste of the match and milk. It was not just full of ice like most of the drinks I find in Laos. They actually gave me lots of the drink which I was super happy about. The place is very expensive though. It is the most expensive restaurant and cafe I have had in Laos and it is in Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng is already super touristy but this was absurd. I mean 83,000 kip/$4.50 for a drink was nuts. It was super good but very expensive. I would have preferred the price to be lower, but the drinks were great and the view was really nice.

This place is both an accommodation and a café. We visited Vang Vieng and stayed here for two nights. The room was clean, the atmosphere was great, and breakfast was included. We also tried some food and drinks from the café, and they were really tasty.

One of the cafés and restaurants that many tourists and visitors like to check in at. Overall, the atmosphere is great and you can enjoy a beautiful mountain view. However, during lunchtime there are many visitors, so ordering can take quite a long time. The food here is a-bit expensive.
