Grill it yourself, seven rings at a time
Riga's first proper yakiniku house is built around seven round grills set into the tables, one per group. Cook wagyu, sukiyaki or shabu-shabu right there, or order yakitori and let someone else do the work.
Dinner turns into a shared, slightly chaotic event, which is the whole point. The wagyu sets climb steeply, the top one runs about 265 euro, but the entry-level skewers and hot pots keep it a place for regular nights too.

Truly exceptional place! Starting with the atmosphere and phenomenal food, and ending with incredible service from the staff 💗 Our waiter Aleksandrs was amazing! The way he was able to answer all our questions, his knowledge of the menu, and his recommendations truly made the experience so much smoother and easier for someone who’s there for the first time. As well as Rihards, who also made us feel looked after ☺️ Thank you both! The food was absolutely phenomenal, the experience, the food selection, the variety of unique and interesting drinks, and the design in general are 100/10. Definitely worth visiting this amazing place ✨💘

Who knew making the meal kinda yourself at a restaurant could be… fun?! In the midst of more or less the same type of Japanese cuisine venues in Riga, Shichirin has been a major breath of fresh air. Besides the fun of grilling the highest quality of meats, all the sides are really delish as well.

Our small group had supper here last night - what an unbelievable spot tucked away in this neighborhood. I have been living here for some time and been around the park area quite a bit, but somehow missed this spot. Everything about the restaurant is top-notch - friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, and amazing food quality. Although the price point may not be for everyone, I can assure you that you truly get what you pay for. I highly recommend the sets (at three price points). You will leave full and such a unique and communal meal. We spent hours eating our meal and it was such a relaxing and entertaining time. Our waiter was great. He was amazing at explaining the options, and when the food arrived he explained each dish and gave a small demo on cooking the meat - perfect. The restaurant decor is beautiful - with the entryway a definite wow moment as soon as you enter. I absolutely encourage you to head over to this restaurant - especially for a special night out or with a group of friends. There was even a table of 8 while we were there. I highly suggest making a reservation. Enjoy this experience out of Old Town - you won't regret it. Thanks for the great night out.

Shichirin (Riga, Rūpniecības iela 27) We tried Konro Grill Shrimp, Negima Yakitori, Gyu Tsukune, and Yakiniku each dish was simple but really well done. Had a Kyoto Wok cocktail and Kakigori for dessert light, icy, and very refreshing. Such a warm and friendly vibe, you can just sit, talk, and enjoy the moment. 10/10 experience, would totally go again!

Great restaurant, atmosphere, personell and delicious food. Fantastic experience, everything was superb from start to the end. Definitely recommend to try different meat variations and have some fun with frinds and family cooking it. Some place for improvement I would say some kind of japanese bread (a lot of different could serve to meat) and some home lemonades. But as it is everything is enjoyable and great. Very tasteful experience.
