Don't call the cornetto a croissant
The team behind Bonocosi pizza runs this Italian bakery on Gedimino avenue, and they will correct you gently if you mix up the cornetto with a croissant. The dough is sweeter, softer and properly Roman.
The counter fills with maritozzi, filled cornetti and sourdough loaves by day. Come evening, the same bar switches to aperitivo cocktails, exactly how a Roman pasticceria runs. Good for a quick stop between Lukiškės Square and the avenue's bookshops.

Best Italian bakery in the city, good quality ingredients, amazing bead with olives, turmeric, seeds - every day is a new one! Super delicious croissants and pastries with truffels, ham and cheese... Totally recommend.

Lovely place with true italian bread and pastries. Loved the focaccia. Tiramisu is how it should be - creamy and not puffed up. Coffee cake was great. Lemonchelo spritz was also great. In general I would recommend everything. Staff was nice and friendly. I talked with them and apperantly you can order breads for you in advance. Interior is a bit dark but i do like an idea of seating under a tree.

Finally, I got a chance to visit the new Italian bakery on Gediminas pr. I have to say, I had the most delicious cannoli. The crispy cone was filled with a sweet, flavorful filling. Hands down, the best cannoli in Vilnius. I also tried a cornetto, which was fresh and tasty. The cappuccino was good too. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. It felt like visiting a local bakery in Rome or Florence.
