A cozy space hidden behind a camera store in town. First came in as a total stranger and customer for a quick coffee takeout after knowing about them moving from across the island. Fast forward 6 months now I’ve gained many many new friends from this pretty little studio. Their coffee is always good, I do think the cafe owners did a pretty good job in terms of keeping the standards. I haven’t yet to try every single thing on their menu but I think it’s definitely over half of the items. Specialty coffees are interesting too, few more drinks I’d love to highlight would be mango magic, assam milk tea and the rest I’ll leave it to you guys to explore. Pudding is bussing, love the texture, love the appropriate sweetness, love the caramel, love the performance from bossman if you dare to ask for. There was this one time where they made a giant pudding for their 2nd anniversary and it was so cute and so delicious. I adore the potato salad, their madeleines, oh, and!!! The fruit shortcakes are so goooooood. Cake is fluffy and moist, cream is refreshing and not overpowering, some days we get strawberry, some days we have mango, and my ultimate favourite would be blueberry with lemon curd. The atmosphere there is just cute, morning yume, sunny yume, rainy yume, gloomy yume, night yume, each version has their own charm that you’ll have to experience yourself to know. My absolute favourite is every morning/noon when the sun is bright and it passes through the white mesh fabric and gently falls on the sofa, they’d be making breakfast or having their takeout meals, that is something I enjoyed looking at. People, i think they just kind of know how to make people feel comfortable through their own experiences. I can feel the effort and yet it feels effortless. I just love yume too much and I’ve received lots and lots of love from them too. Also, drop a dad joke or hilarious puns while you’re there, they love them.

Cozy, home vibe, plus camera and film just outside of cafe (same building), win liao! Good coffee, by the way and lovely place if you're into artsy stuff.

This little coffeeshop is hidden at the back of a photography store. Don’t be afraid to walk in and explore, it is so worth it! The cafe itself is luminous, with a skylight, plants and comfortable chairs. Perfect to relax and write. When I went, there were 3 choices of coffee beans. I took the underdog, which was just strong enough with nutty flavours. They didn’t have a cortado on their menu, but made me one when I asked with no problem. Would recommend for coffee lovers.

Yume is tucked away at the back of one of Penang’s old shophouses, sharing the space with Rewind Film Studio which also has an interesting concept with an array of film cameras. The cafe’s unique decor does well to retain its nostalgic charm. Met the nice people running it, serving good coffee with a good variety of beans to choose from ❤️ our first visit here and also the first to many more.

Yume Studio has a very nice and chill environment, perfect to relax and enjoy your time. The drinks are good and the prices are okay and affordable. I also like that they have some old and unique collection items to look at, and you can even purchase them. Overall, it’s a pleasant place with a good vibe. Definitely worth visiting ☕✨
