Cannoli, cakes and coffee on The Strand
Busy Bee is a long-running Maltese patisserie with a café on The Strand in Sliema, known for its cannoli, cakes and confectionery. What started as one shop has grown into several branches, but the sweets are still the whole point.
The counter runs from Maltese pastries to full cakes, with coffee and light bites if you want to sit in. A reliable stop for something sweet on the Sliema seafront walk.

lovely café with a great choice of breakfast and brunch options. We only stopped for a quick bite while waiting for the ferry, but we were really impressed. The pistachio croissant was absolutely amazing — definitely the best I ever had! We also had an iced oat latte, which was really nice and refreshing. A great little stop if you're in the area, especially if you're catching the ferry. Would happily come back for a proper breakfast or brunch next time. ☕🥐💚

Hi! We came for coffee and something sweet, and were pleasantly surprised by the cannoli you offer. Delicious! Much better than in other cafes. Very good prices and the service from your waitress, Lorena, was impeccable; she was really friendly and willing to recommend pastries. Just one suggestion: you should change the macarons; they don't have the authentic texture and flavor. And I'm French! Anyway, thanks for the lovely experience!

The only place a returned again because of great working air conditioning when was 40 degrees outside. For someone maybe not a good reason but for me a huge benefit of this spot. Besides that, very kind staff and amazing cheesecake.

The waiters are kind and all but this isn’t the best place to have breakfast in malta. It honestly gives a cafeteria vibe. They have AC which is very nice if you want a break from the heat but it makes the food and the drinks get cold pretty fast. The food was nice but not that different from other places. During my stay here I’ve realized that they dont have many variety for breakfast in Malta. We paid a total of 24£ for 2 cups of Earl Grey Tea, an americano, and two plates of Eggs Benedict one without bacon.

I wanted to try their cheesecake for my small birthday celebration at the office and that was the only place having cakes close by. Despite it was a random choice, I was impressed how nice cheesecakes they make and price is reasonable for that size. Also got carrot cake for my vegan colleague and she was super happy. Didn’t try other things, but I will definitely do and I will come back for their cheesecake. Well done guys, keep it up.
