Tapas and cocktails on a terrace over La Cuvette's hidden beach.
N'Joy opened on 11 April 2025 at the entrance to La Cuvette, the cove beach just south of central Grand Baie. It found a following fast. The kitchen splits the difference between bar food and something more composed: tapas plates, a raw bar, and coastal mains, all served on a terrace that looks straight over the cove.
It runs Wednesday to Sunday, noon to midnight, later on weekends, with live music Friday through Sunday that turns dinner into a night out. Barely a year old, it already gets mentioned alongside Grand Baie's long-running favourites.

Went in just as they were closing before they open again for evening (didn’t know they were about to close). Our waiter was exceptional, he needs a raise. We couldn’t get on the WiFi, our 5g wasn’t working, the waiter let us use his phone as a hotspot! Talk about going above and beyond. We had a beer and strawberry margarita, and a chicken burger and chicken sandwich. Food and drinks were both excellent. Didn’t come back in the evening but if it’s anything like how it was during the day, you’ll be in for a treat.

Short, sweet, and expensive ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) I visited NJOY this past Saturday (July 4th) for the Nou Moris event. Overall, it was a nice vibe, but there are a few things to keep in mind if you plan on going. The Good Vibes The Music: The DJ was excellent and played a great set. The Atmosphere: The event was incredibly popular and packed with a very lively, crowded energy. There was also visible security around, which made the venue feel safe. The Downsides Short DJ Set: The DJ only played for about 2 hours. Because most of the crowd arrived after dinner time, the peak party window felt way too short. Overpriced Drinks: Cocktails and beers range from Rs 350 to Rs 550. The cocktails were a letdown—about 3/4 of the glass was just packed ice, so you don't get much actual drink for your money. Security vs. Enforcement: While security was present, it didn't stop people from openly smoking weed inside the event. Early Close: Exactly at midnight, they started pushing everyone out. It felt very abrupt. Summary It was a fun night with great music, but it felt cut short and definitely hurt the wallet. Come early if you want to catch the main DJ set!

Njoy was all vibes from start to finish. We didn’t try the food, so no food review from us, but the drinks were excellent all night. The DJ absolutely did his thing and had the place turned up. The music, energy, and atmosphere were on point. As a West African, I was a little surprised by the closing time, but we later learned that it’s also very much a daytime spot. My advice: get there early so you can fully enjoy the experience. Great drinks, great music, and great vibes. Definitely worth a visit.

Really amazing vibe, atmosphere, food, service..all superb. Chef Harrish is a master of his craft - the cow cheeks were cooked to perfection. the Mille-feuille and the Crème brulee were a surprising fusion of flavors - especially the brulee made with Tea! And I can’t forget the lively music and great crowd. Thank you for an amazing night. We will definitely be coming back to N’Joy on our next visit. Cheers from Saudi Arabia!

Good set up of a place, the service is great. Only had cocktails and they were OK, could improve though. The music is loud and even louder during the weekends
