A jungle of plants disguised as a coffee shop

Locals call Kava "el jardín del café," the garden of coffee, and one look at the plants covering every wall explains why. It's inside Plaza Grande on Avenida de la Raza, and it's made Chihuahua state's top 100 restaurants list, a rare nod for a neighborhood café.

The menu keeps it simple: lattes, panini, salads. What keeps people coming back are the periodic free-breakfast giveaways, a rare move in a city packed with independent coffee shops.
