Guanajuato's first Sheraton, right by the convention center

The old Poliforum Plaza traded its Radisson flag for Sheraton on 1 April 2026, and this is the brand's first hotel in the state of Guanajuato. It sits right beside Poliforum León, the convention center behind SAPICA and the rest of the shoe-industry calendar, so expect the lobby to fill with trade-fair crowds a few times a year.

The 167 rooms and public areas got a redesign leaning on regional touches rather than a full rebuild. Tannino, the in-house restaurant, cooks with Bajío ingredients, and the switch means Marriott Bonvoy points now work here.

Good to know

• This is a conversion, not a new build, rooms vary depending on which refurbishment round they went through.
• The day pass to the pool is sold separately, around 1,200 pesos for two adults.
