Sharing plates named for the fungal network that feeds a forest
Micelio takes its name from the underground fungal network that quietly feeds an entire forest, and that idea of hidden connection runs through the menu. Grilled shrimp and coconut ceviche are built for a group, ordered together and pieced apart over a couple of hours.
The room is intimate rather than showy, and the kitchen pairs each dish with wine or a cocktail instead of running a separate bar menu. It's a short walk off the Boulevard López Mateos strip, in a stretch of El Rosario that's filled up with new openings the past couple of years.
Good to know
- Order to share and let the kitchen build a wine or cocktail pairing around it.
- Reservations recommended on weekends, it's small and fills up.
