Five suites, hand-painted by the LRNCE founder herself

Every wall, tile and rug in this medina mansion is either made by Laurence Leenaert or found on her trips around Morocco. She and her husband Ayoub Boualam turned the old house on Rue de la Bahia into a five-suite guesthouse in 2024, a short walk from the Bahia Palace.

It's adults only, and small enough that the whole place feels like one continuous LRNCE piece rather than a hotel with a design budget. The Michelin Guide already lists it. Five suites go fast, so book weeks ahead.

Good to know

  • Five suites and adults only, so it books out well ahead in spring and autumn.
  • The LRNCE studio and shops are out at Sidi Ghanem if you want to buy what is in the rooms.

Amazing design, maybe one of the best rooms I've ever seen. Staff was amazing even though sometimes (assuming shift change), the requests were not transfered but other than that everyone was very nice. I highly recommend this place

Riad Rosemary is hands down not only the most unique and stunning riads in Marrakech, it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in around the world. Every inch of the space is designed with the most thoughtful and exquisite detail. The Rosemary is also quite small, so it feels like you have the space to yourself much of the time. Breakfast on the terrace or in the living room (in colder weather) is delicious, having a privately cooked dinner is sweet and romantic, and the rooms and bathrooms feel spacious, private, and restorative. If you appreciate high-level design, quiet retreats, and excellent service, be sure to come here. Stop by the LRNCE shop as well for some amazing pieces that you can spot in the hotel. I didn't find it expensive at all: I think it's worth every penny.

Well located, but pricey compared to Riad's nearby that are also pretty great. Stunning decor, but low lighting, used phone torch to put makeup on, for example. I'd stay there again, but probably would be more assertive about expecting superior service for the price. Eg they should contact you to meet you at the car pick up/drop off so you are not hauling luggage down the side street, and a barrista who knows how to not burn the milk would be handy, particularly given the quality in other riads nearby was pretty good. A compendium of recommendations and info about them being able to make your bookings would equally be a bonus.

The moment we stepped through the entrance, we felt like we had entered a completely different world—it was such a beautiful and thoughtfully designed space. Everything we saw was stylish and delightful, and yet the room itself was incredibly comfortable. The music selection was also truly lovely. Not only was the space amazing, but we also deeply felt the warm hospitality from everyone, including Michelle, Karim, the driver and the rest of the team. The meals were delicious, and the whole experience made us want to come back again.

Our stay at this Riad was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with extremely attentive and warm service that made us feel at home right away. The interior design (LRNC all over) is nothing short of stunning – every corner is thoughtfully decorated, blending traditional charm with a modern touch. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable – a true oasis of tranquility. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a cozy dinner at the fireplace, which was as delicious as it was intimate, a perfect way to unwind after exploring. What truly sets this place apart is the outstanding friendliness of the staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
