Prints and craft objects from her own studio, right by the pharmacie centrale

Skip the market stalls. Marie Bastide's shop on Rue de la Liberté sells exactly what her studio makes: photographs, illustrations, graphic prints and craft objects, all built from Moroccan subjects and produced with local workshops.

The seventy-square-metre space sits on a quiet cross street off Mohammed V, in a stretch of Guéliz where independent designers are opening real shopfronts. Nobody knows the street name, though. Just ask for the shop next to the pharmacie centrale.

Good to know

The shop is next door to the pharmacie centrale on rue de la Liberté, a short walk from Carré Eden.
It closes for a few weeks in high summer, check before making a special trip in August.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Marie Bastide Marrakech ! The boutique is beautifully curated with such unique and elegant pieces. A special thanks to Ghita, the store manager, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made my visit even more enjoyable. Her warm and professional approach really stood out. I highly recommend visiting Marie Bastide Marrakech for anyone looking for exquisite items and outstanding customer service.

There are two shops from Marie Bastide in Marrakech. We found the first one in the souks because it looked completely different than the typical market stands. This one mainly sells postcards and smaller prints. We later went to the bigger store in Gueliz. We bought a small purse with engraving that is designed by a local artist and a laser cut card with a poem. The owner is very friendly and explained us details to all products. We also received a map of Gueliz with other shops. We could pay with credit card or cash.

I'm a regular at the café across the street. This location is always closed. I took the photo with a piece of paper hung on the door. I wanted to buy their pretty excellent wood burn postcard but had no luck for two weeks. Few lovely stuff inside, but just one star because it appears that someone has no control over his business. Every day while eating breakfast, I watch several tourists attempting to enter but failing. Telephone? Well, it might work, but please change the "I'll be back in 10 minutes" information because it shows a lack of regard for your consumers. This store will be closed for HOURS. Simply write "we are open if you call only" and it will be better. 10/2023 I decided to modify my opinion because it appears that the owner fixed things and the gallery now functions properly. Stuff is very kind and helpful. They offer some nice items. It's a little space with few things, but it's all about quality, not quantity, isn't it?
