Stadtmitte Cafe opened in July 2024 at the Bonus Marktplatz on Sam Nujoma Avenue, filling a gap regulars had complained about for years: almost nothing in central Swakopmund opens early on a Sunday. Stadtmitte does, which alone has made it a fixture for the after-church coffee crowd.
Cakes and light meals round out a coffee-forward menu, nothing especially ambitious but consistently good enough that regulars keep coming back. Seating is limited, so a Saturday morning table needs an early arrival.

We went for brunch, had a lovely classic pancake with extra banana. Really friendly staff and great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit😎😊

The place is great, food awesome and lots of variety. Unfortunately, like most places in Namibia, the people working in the place could be better trained at customer service. You walk in there and people that serve you look like they are working at a funeral parlor. No greeting, no smile, just stone cold appearance.
