Once a hotel bar, now an all-day cafe since September 2025

Whistlestop Cafe sits inside the Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre, where it used to run as an evening drinks lounge. The property reworked it into an all-day coffee shop and eatery, reopening on 21 September 2025. The coffee now comes from Two Beards Coffee, a local roastery, instead of a generic hotel-supplier blend.

The garden seating beats the indoor tables, quieter and shaded for most of the day. Most visitors treat it as a stop on the way to somewhere else, but an empty garden and a slow morning make it worth lingering.
