Some of the quietest seats in the Kathmandu Valley sit inside a working museum. This café occupies the stone courtyards of Patan Museum on Durbar Square, away from the crowds outside.

The menu runs from Terai dishes to Himalayan plates, plus continental options and proper coffee. You need museum admission to get in, but the courtyard alone earns the ticket price.
