British pub upstairs, Dutch bistro downstairs, no reservations

Cross an English country-house pub with a Dutch eetcafé and you get 't Lemmeke. It's the fourth spot in ten years from the team behind Wijmpje Beukers, Schotsheuvel and De Zingende Zwaan, and the formula still works: pub interior, classics on the menu, no booking ahead.

Upstairs is the proper dining room, fireplace going when it's cold out. Downstairs is the pub, with spareribs, stamppot and tournedos on the card. The snack list alone is worth the trip to Van Breestraat.

Visiting from Aus and we absolutely loved this place. We were tucked away in a cosy corner with wonderful service that was always available and friendly. The food was delish and the atmosphere warm.

What a cozy and amazing place this neighbourhood needed. I always want to find a home away from home and I can tell ‘t Lemmeke will be it. Highly recommend the friejts stoof!
