The list is the point: 93 wines by the bottle and 36 by the glass, a serious range for a bar this size on a quiet residential strip between the Philips stadium and the old centre. Bites are sized to keep a bottle company rather than fill a menu.

The terrace is where you want to be once it warms up. Weekdays it opens at three, weekends from midday, and a year in it already feels like a neighbourhood fixture rather than the new place on the block.

We stumbled across Vino Victoria after the Italian restaurant we had planned to visit was unexpectedly closed, and what a great find it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly helpful, patient, and welcoming. Jeroen took the time to explain the wines and recommended the perfect pairing for the sea bass — 10/10 for both the wine and the sea bass. They even went above and beyond by creating an Italian-inspired dish for us, which was absolutely delicious. The Dutch hospitality here was truly 10/10. Whether you’re meeting friends for a drink after work, enjoying a date night, or simply stopping in for a glass of wine on your own, Vino Victoria won’t disappoint. We came in completely by chance, but we’ll absolutely be back!

I had to organize an outing with my colleagues. I called up Jeroen, told him nothing more than the budget and the time. What we got when we arrived was amazing. The wines were great, the non-drinkers were taken care off, and the food was a beautiful selection of interesting and tasteful dishes paired greatly with a lovely assortment of different wines. Everyone was happy. I highly recommend!!
