Sit down or call ahead: Sama Sama runs as both an eetcafé and a toko, and either way the nasi campur is the reason people keep coming back. Julian, who also runs Bambu, built it with chef Irwan, who grew up in Jakarta and cooks food that hasn't been softened for a Dutch palate.
The Zijlweg here is residential, not touristy, so a lot of the trade is neighbours phoning in an order and picking up a rijsttafel at seven. The kitchen runs evenings, Tuesday through Sunday.

Delicious Indonesian food in a local neighbourhood spot. They only have a small friendly team working so you have to be patient. But the food is worth the wait!

Ordered this food through Uber Eats. I didn't know the place but it exceeded all my expectations. The food was phenomenal! Such a rich and authentic taste that a lot of Indonesian restaurants in Holland have lost. Will 100% eat here again. Haven't been to the restaurant itself though, so can't speak on service and atmosphere but if you want authentic Indo food at a good price, this is your place!
