A hundred wines by the glass on the Bazarstraat

Glasses start at five euro, bottles run to five hundred, and there's more than a hundred pours in between. Annick van Bladel and Hidde-Jurre Griffioen learned this corner of The Hague at Wicked Wines before opening their own.

The kitchen crosses French with Asian: steak tartare, salmon tataki, a roasted cauliflower steak. Let them pick the glass, Griffioen studied wine in Dijon.

We had a great dinner at Dr. Wines. The food was excellent and the service was just as good—friendly, attentive, and professional. We started with white wine and Normandy oysters (delicious), followed by sushi for the main course, which was also very good. The dessert was a perfect finish. The atmosphere and décor are lovely, making it a great spot for a relaxed evening. Highly recommended!

You should definitely come here for wine! Visited twice and tried a lot of different wines — everything was amazing. The first time the service was top-notch, the second time there were a lot of people so we didn’t get enough attention to be honest. The food was decent, try surf & turf sushi and their steak. The only remark I would give is to remove green onion from sushi. It was super fresh and overwhelming, stealing the whole taste of sushi - didn’t like that.

For us, this is the best place to eat and enjoy wine in The Hague. We’ve been there for the second time and once again found both the food and the wine selection excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and simply beautiful. The service – which for me is just as important as the food – is friendly, relaxed, and personal. Many other places could definitely learn from this!
