The service was polite, the atmosphere of the restaurant adding to the coziness of the restaurant. I sat indoors, but it was stuffy because there was no air conditioning. The Fresh Mint Tea was freshely brewed which enhanced its flavour and made for nice presentation. The noodles in the Shrimp Tempura Udon were clearly handmade, as the noodles had a chewy, thick consistency. The broth also had a nice flavour. Although for the price of the food, they could have provided more than two tempura shrimp and one of each vegetable per dish to balance out the ratio of vegetables to starches. The tempura and vegetables were well cooked and tasty, the dishes in general were satisfying in flavour. However, regarding the Shrimp Tempura Bowl, the portion was small for the price as the bowl was filled about halfway. Furthermore, the sauce in the Shrimp Tempura Bowl would be better put to the side instead of adding it directly onto the dish--the cook staff added too much. Overall, an enjoyable restaurant. I would recommend it to try, but would not come back as there are better options in town.

I was expecting delicious udon because the other Niko restaurant is also very good. And it was even better than my expectations. Loved the menu with different kind of Japanese food than the ordinary menu’s in The Netherlands . Udon was so tasty and loved the fresh taste and texture. The soup and the meat tasted delicious and authentic. The yellow fin tuna was also delicious and loved the interior and staff. As a Japanese i am happy with this gem in The Hague.

The chicken tempera and fried udon has room improvement, the rest was overall really good. Fried udon was cold and really hard. Chicken has dry not tender anymore.

Fantastic Beef Udon, quite reasonably priced and a good portion size. Atmosphere and staff were excellent, and the restaurant was not too busy in the early evening. Definitely coming again!

Quite tasty udon, but I would expect more protein in there, there are mostly noodles. On the other hand: I could really recommend bowls with rice - I tried with shrimp tempura and beef - very tasty. Sushi were also decent but they’re served with 2 pieces and you need to eat them with your hands, fyi. Something unusual: noodle crisps and miso chocolate cake - can recommend both as well! Drinks were so so, sake didn’t taste very strong to be honest. Service was great both times! Ps: it was quite chilly inside both times, so was a bit uncomfortable.
