Pierluigi grew up in Puglia and packed its pantry into one small shop a street behind the Amsterdamsestraatweg. Olive oil, wine, cheese and the cured meats that go with them line the counter.

The Boorstraat is residential, the kind of street you'd walk past without looking twice. Show up in the afternoon and he'll usually have something open, ready to hand you a taste over the counter.

Casa Parente is a small shop filled with the most delicious products from the south of Italy. Think olive oil, sun-dried tomato or black olive tapenade, crispy rolls, and toast. Be sure to stop by for a special wine. The rosé is our favorite. There are regular wine and even olive oil tastings! Pier Luigi imports the products himself, sourcing them from local producers in the Puglia region. Casa Parente is truly a hidden gem in Utrecht, close to the station.
