Wine bar and gallery in a Sagene backyard
The wine list here changes with whoever's pouring, and so does the art on the walls. Rivertz runs a wine bar and gallery out of the same room on Kierschows gate, with shows rotating every few weeks.
It sits off the usual Torshov route, which keeps the crowd local. Hours run shorter than a normal bar, so check before heading up.

I grew up on Arkitekt Rivertzsplass. Many good memories from there. It was a gathering point for all the kids in the area. In the winter we would go ice skating, where the parents would make ice skating rinks, where everyone got prizes no matter what place we came in. They were sponsored by all the businesses in the local council + a company sponsored all the trophies for the first three in all age groups. Both for girls and boys, with engravings. It was fun and entertaining. In the summer there was cycling and various ball games. And other games we played at the time. From about the 60s-80s. Now they have changed a lot on the square, which has become very nice, definitely a sight worth visiting.
