Sourdough pizza and a serious glass list at Solli
Vinoteket sits by Solli plass and pitches itself as a meeting place for wine, with a large by-the-glass list and modern sourdough pizza to go with it. The pizzas run to less orthodox toppings than the Neapolitan crowd.
It works both as a quick glass and a full sit-down. The room is casual and central, close to the Nobel Peace Center and Aker Brygge.

The place looks ok. Food menu is gimmicky and a bit trying too hard to make new taste which in some areas is failing. Beef tartar was pretty weird with the fishy smelly sauce and toppings. Overall it’s a good experience but not a place that would like to ho second time for food. Wine menu is descent.

The modern pizza was largely very good...I'm sure Italians would be offended by it, but the flavours were interesting and unique and the dough itself is delicious. So I enjoyed it, but wouldn't want it every day. However, the tasting menu doesn't make sense to me. You could order 8 of the modern pizzas for the table and it would be considerably cheaper. I will say that the included dessert was very tasty, but does not warrant, in my opinion, the extra cost. I don't like feel like I'm being scammed so this left a sour taste. The staff are friendly but only one of them seems to know about wine....he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about it and made up for the lack of knowledge and attention from other servers. I know we are in Oslo, but it was eye-wateringly expensive.

Classical pizzas are good. «Modern» pizzas are more expensive and much smaller. Would not recommend the modern pizzas. Waiter seemed to know even less than me about wine and that is saying something.

This modern restaurant offers a nice experience, pairing small, expertly crafted pizza slices with good wines. The clean, spacious design and creative lighting create a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, delivering nice service. However, the pizza slices are very small, making it more of a tasting experience than a filling meal—perfect for light bites, but not ideal if you’re hungry. And of course pricey like most of the other restaurants in Oslo.
