Eighteen seats around an open seafood kitchen
Pull up a stool at the horseshoe counter and watch every course get built a few feet away. Byssa runs an eight-course set menu, no menu card, just plates arriving as the kitchen finishes them.
Some Sundays a guest chef takes over with a shorter menu at two sittings, around 895 kroner. Book through the Prinsen site, walk-ins won't get a seat.

What a lovely place. Been here several times. The food is really good, tasty and with fairly large portions. The food is made in front of you, the atmosphere is intimate and it's easy to get to know each other around the table. The service is close and you are seen if there is anything. Everyone should try the galley ☺️

This is the best restaurant experience I have ever had in Oslo. The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. Many thanks to William and Celina who ensured we had an unforgettable evening.
