A genuinely new Portuguese kitchen in Briskeby
Vadio opened in 2025 in the Briskeby quarter and was picked out by Aftenposten Vink as one of the year's more genuinely new arrivals, in a city that rarely sees much Portuguese cooking. The critic's line was simple: finally, something truly new.
The kitchen works the Portuguese repertoire rather than fusing it away. Its location on Briskebyveien puts it on the quieter west side. Coordinates here are approximate to Briskeby.

Glad to be the 100th person to give a review at this magnificent restaurant. Serving the best and one of the most underrated cuisines in the world. Very nice staff who embody the essence of Portuguese cuisine and culture. Looking forward to coming again and again! Obrigado 🙏🏼

One of my new favourite restaurants in Oslo. Menu is exciting and different and all executed to perfection. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and has a great cosy atmosphere.

we ordered the set menu 🎢 which can be a hit or miss, but this time it was a hit overall 🦩 we really enjoyed the starters, they complimented eacheother well 🧩 the tuna dish was our favorite ✍🏻 then came the mussels, so good that I forgot to take a photo 😝 for the main dishes we tried both the arroz de gamba 🦐 and the bitouque 🥩 I found the gamba to be too bland, compared to the stronger tastes from the starters 🕳️ the steak was super nice tho 😋 good sauce *my biggest feedback would be that the set menu online and the set menu in the restaurant were not identical 🪞 the basement seemed super cozy ♨️ the staff was 10/10 🩵 saluuuut

Incredibly good dinner! Definitely the best meal in our Norway trip. Every dishes is just on the right taste. & can’t believe the simple wine list is as good as the food.

Overall, it was a pretty interesting experience. I enjoyed the atmosphere and service. I ordered the rabbit and Peri Peri chicken. I really liked the sweet and sour breading, but there were too many bones, making the meat very difficult to separate (2/5). The chicken was burnt on the outside and not quite cooked through at the bone (1/5). The seasonal grilled vegetables were good, but very sweet. Dessert is unnecessary after such a side dish (3/5).
