The only hotel rooftop in central Piura
RUA sits on the fifth floor of a small hotel two blocks from the Plaza de Armas, and it's still the only rooftop bar attached to a hotel in the city center. Order a chilcano or pisco sour with a plate of piqueos and grab a spot facing the cathedral rooftops.
Weekends get packed, hotel guests mixing with locals until the terrace fills by 9pm. Book ahead, or come on a weeknight when the crowd thins and the view gets all the attention.

I went because I saw it on TikTok, but it really left a lot to be desired 😕 I ordered ribeye tacos and a salad. The salad was very simple and very expensive, and the tacos had the worst meat, full of skin :( There's only one waitress, and the service is slow. The place is nice, though. But if you go, I recommend eating beforehand and only ordering drinks. The gringa cocktail is really good.
