A coffee shop that isn't a hotel lobby

Connections Café opened on Street 227 in 2025. It's part of a small wave of specialty coffee shops giving Musanze somewhere to sit that isn't a hotel lobby. The menu covers coffee, smoothies and food from breakfast through dinner, open long hours daily.

Upstairs seating works for laptops or killing time before a gorilla trek. Locals use it as a meeting spot too. Most of Musanze's food scene runs through hotel restaurants, so a standalone café built around coffee still stands out.

  Such a true hidden gem with a very nice view of volcanoes in the town. Their food, drinks and great connection is super. Highly recommend to everyone

  I recently visited *Connections Cafe* and was genuinely impressed! Their food is absolutely top-tier — the **fajita fries** are a must-try, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. On top of that, their **coffee** is hands down the best I’ve had in a while — rich, smooth, and just the right kick to brighten your day. Highly recommended.
