Musanze's go-to for buffets and big nights out

Silverbacks Café opened on 16 and 17 August 2024 with a concert headlined by Ugandan artists The Ben and Rema Namakula. The opening night set the tone right away. Since then it's become Musanze's default spot for buffet nights, DJ sets and touring acts, hosting everything from the Tour du Rwanda after-party to the local kickoff for Kwita Izina, Rwanda's annual gorilla-naming ceremony.

Day to day it works as an all-day restaurant on NM 151 Street. What sets it apart is the calendar: a buffet feast one week, a concert the next, in a town that doesn't have much else going on after dark.

Silverback feels like home! Their cakes are absolutely delicious, the food is yummy and fresh, and the service is exceptional.
