Kigali carpet chain opens its first Rusizi branch

Maison Du Tapis runs carpet shops in Kigali, in Nyamirambo and Kimironko. On December 17, 2025, it announced its first branch outside the capital: a store in Kamembe, with a 25 percent discount to mark the opening. It's a small expansion for a home goods chain, but Kamembe hadn't had a dedicated carpet shop before.

The stock matches the Kigali branches: imported rugs and carpets in a range of sizes. Staff will arrange local delivery if you don't want to carry a rolled up carpet home yourself.

• Ask about delivery if you're not driving, carpets aren't easy to carry back by moto.
