Duke's Place
Gros Islet Opened Opening date unknown
Grilled fish worth the line down the block
The line for Duke's Place wraps around the corner by evening, saying something on a Friday night in Gros Islet, where grilled fish smokes on every block. Erwin David mans the grill, turning out dorado, marlin, barracuda and conch (lambi) for whoever's next.
It only opens Friday and Saturday, at Church and Bay Street across from the beach, when the fish fry and street party take over the block. Show up by 6:30pm to dodge the worst of the queue.
