Bubble tea lands on Praslin's Cote d'Or beach.

Boba Republic opened its fourth outlet on Cote d'Or beach on June 26, 2026, the first bubble tea shop on Praslin. The chain's other three locations are all on Mahé, clustered around Victoria and Beau Vallon, so this marks its first jump to a second island.

Beyond milk teas and smoothies, the Cote d'Or shop serves sushi and takeaway food, aimed at beachgoing families as much as anyone after a specific drink. It's a small bet, but a telling one: a Mahé brand testing whether Praslin's busiest beach has enough foot traffic to support a second location.
