Coffee by day, cocktails by night on Aškerčeva

Two different bars live in the same room here, depending on when you show up. Mornings mean coffee on a calm terrace that still leans a bit floral, a leftover from the flower shop that used to occupy the space.

Once it gets dark, the music goes up and the cocktails take over. Weekend nights run until 2am, with themed cocktail parties popping up every few weeks. Owner Violeta Dimitrijevikj runs it solo, no chain behind it, and it shows in how personal the place feels.

• Daytime is coffee and quiet, evenings after 8 pick up fast.
• Open until 2am Friday and Saturday.
