La Isla café-restaurant has been a delightful surprise. I'm a lifelong resident of this neighborhood, and how could I have imagined that I'd find such a wonderful place so close to home? The beers were ice-cold, just the way I like them, served in a frosted glass. The sandwiches, made with their own homemade bread, were spectacular, as were the croquettes. The pork tapa was absolutely delicious... everything! The place is lovely and definitely worth a visit! I highly recommend it, but what impressed me most was the service, Israel's smile—I think that's his name. These days, it's rare to find a young person so eager to do things right, to please with original dishes, tapas, and sandwiches made with flair. I have to say, they add their own special touch! I'll be back whenever I can because only in places like this—honest, respectful of the customer, with excellent value for money and friendly service—do it all feel worthwhile.
