A 40-year publisher's front room, facing the park

Asian Culture has been publishing Taiwanese letters and history since 1982. In 2025 it moved to Dadaocheng and opened Minle Books at the front of its new office: seventeen ping of shelves facing the green of Dadaocheng Park.

Editor-in-chief Liao Chih-feng grew up on these streets, so the shelves lean local rather than trendy. Grab a drink and browse, and check for the rotating book talks, small exhibitions and secondhand markets.
