Skip the queues on the main strip and duck into the alley off Hanzhong Street. Hikari's dessert case is the best spread in the neighborhood: mille crepe cake, pistachio tiramisu, rose tart, mango pudding and an ice cream list that rotates.

The coffee stays smooth rather than showy, built to sit next to sugar. Dcard's coffee groups already found this place, so go on a weekday afternoon if you want a table.
