BEMO Salon: inviting and professional venue entrance

BEMO Salon

★ 4.8 · 23 reviews Taipei Opened 2025

An online coffee brand's first room, inside a 1936 granary

BEMO spent six years selling single-origin coffee online before it ever opened a physical room. When it finally did, it picked the upper floor of Warehouse No. 1, a granary built in 1936, and dressed it up as a neoclassical salon with Danish furniture and European antiques.

The pour-over service borrows its pacing from Chinese tea ceremony, and pastry chef Szu-Ying Lai handles dessert. Come with an hour to spare, not a laptop.

Yes! I couldn't resist going to BEMO again. I don't recommend BEMO if a regular coffee shop is enough for you. Because after visiting BEMO, you'll feel that regular coffee shops are just places that sell energy drinks, and you'll have higher expectations for coffee. You won't see long queues at BEMO because you have to make a reservation to try it. BEMO isn't in any annual food reviews because every season is a different experience. I can't describe BEMO with just words because it's not just classic coffee and snacks; it's an immersive experience full of art and deliciousness. BEMO isn't suitable for bringing friends to chat. Because when you come here, you'll find everyone unconsciously taking one sip after another, seemingly immersed in a beautiful atmosphere, communicating only with joyful expressions and amazed glances, with very little talking. I'm really looking forward to what the next season will bring.

Semper really came up with a brilliant idea: Kyoto espresso paired with Toyama plum—a wonderful combination!

This experience was incredible! So much thought and attention to detail in every little thing. From the plating and silverware, to the desserts and the coffee. The staff were impeccable and treated us very well. I’m not a big coffee lover but I LOVE desserts. Probably the most unique and one of the most tasty desserts I’ve ever had in my life. I would highly recommend trying this place if you love coffee or desserts. Also, the bathroom is awesome and has amazing hand soap that exfoliates my hands.

This time I tried the "Springtime Blossoms Dancing in the Sun" dessert, and the all-vegan dessert was absolutely amazing! ❤️ Not only that, the coffee was also perfectly paired with it, and the ambiance was very sophisticated, showing the owner's excellent taste. A top-notch dessert experience, highly recommended!
