The butterfly croissant here earned its Instagram fame honestly. Shatteringly thin matcha layers hide a piece of mochi in the middle, and the egg tart gets the same flaky treatment from the same hands behind Antipodean next door.

Everything's best within hours of baking. Fresh batches land around 10am and 1pm, Wednesday to Sunday, and most days sell out by late afternoon. Go early.

5-star atmosphere and fantastic staff, incredibly polite and professional. The reason I give lower marks is because for the price that the pastries are being sold at (which is above the average for Taipei), the cafe should take the initiative to heat the pastries instead of serving them cold. It makes the food less tasty and enjoyable, especially when ham/cheese croissant or chocolate croissant are best enjoyed when warm.
