I'm donut ? Taipei Dunhua

Tokyo's raw donut phenomenon, first store outside Japan
The nama donut is the reason for the queue: a brioche ring fried so the inside stays custardy. I'm donut ? built its Tokyo reputation on it, then picked Taipei's Dunhua South Road for its first store outside Japan.
Twelve classics sit alongside three Taiwan-only flavors, priced from NT$58. The raw-concrete-and-steel shop fits right into the East District. Go for the plain nama donut first, and skip the weekend lines by showing up on a weekday morning.

So glad I got the chance to try these in Taipei. These donuts are delicious! They melt in your mouth and the flavours are divine! If you can't get these donuts in Japan and find yourself in Taipei then take the opportunity to try them!

Jul 26 A friend brought us here to get a taste. We bought several to try. They are good. Different than usual donuts. But they are yummy with nice varieties to choose

I visited on a Monday afternoon, and happily, there was no line at all. It seems the initial hype has cooled down a bit, making it the perfect time to visit! I ordered three flavors: Original, Chocolate, and Custard. The best part about these donuts is the texture—they are incredibly airy and fluffy. It's a completely different experience from denser, bun-like donuts (such as Haritts) that fill you up fast. These feel much more like a refined dessert, the kind that leaves you wanting more even after you finish. Here is my breakdown of the flavors: Original: This one is just powdered sugar on the outside with no filling. I personally wished there was a bit more powdered sugar to create a better balance with the dough. Chocolate: A bit disappointing. The filling was a little sparse, and the ratio between the filling and the dough felt off—each bite just felt like too much dough and not enough chocolate. Custard: A definitive 5-star flavor! The ratio of custard filling to dough was absolutely spot-on and perfectly balanced. Overall, this is definitely a shop I’d visit again. I truly hope to see local donut makers step up their technique to match this level of quality in the future!

the line was long, but the wait wasn't long at all. pistachio cream was good though i feel like it's too much cream and too little pistachio, the anko was too sweet imo. the best part was the bread dough. if u like sweets, u should try it. but otherwise, it is pretty pricey

These donuts are really good. The taste of the dough brings me back to a bakery during my childhood 60 years ago. The queue looks long but moved actually quite fast
