Korea's everyday coffee giant makes its Taiwan debut

Cheap, fast, decent coffee: that's the whole pitch, and it works. COMPOSE COFFEE runs thousands of stores across Korea on that formula, and the first Taiwan location landed near Nanjing Fuxing in March 2026 with lines out the door thanks to V of BTS fronting the brand.

The restaurant uses a machine ordering system. Even if there are no other customers, if we stand at the counter, we are directly told to order from the machine. I'm not sure if this is the same for older customers. We ordered the Schisandra chinensis iced tea with less ice. When we opened it, it was about 70% full. Because it's a machine ordering system, they didn't tell us the portion size had been reduced.

This Korean cafe is located near my house! It's a short walk, so I'm so lucky! (laughs) And it's so much cheaper than Starbucks! 😆💯 I'll definitely be drinking here from now on. Not friendly staff. When you could not find the coffee choice you want to order. The staff is not trying to help you to order, just said all the choices in the machine screen with bad attitude instead.

Since they only offered takeout, I grabbed a 'Special Blend' coffee—a mix of honey, condensed milk, and espresso. The taste was average !
