A garden-level bar at Iringa Sunset Hotel, opened alongside the hilltop terrace.

Forest Garden Bar opened at the end of October 2024, in the grounds of Iringa Sunset Hotel on the Gangilonga Hills above town. The hotel already had its Sunset Terrace for the classic sundowner view. Forest Garden Bar gave it a second, greener space at ground level, among the trees rather than looking down over the rooftops.

It's settled into a rhythm of live DJ nights and open-bar barbecue evenings since opening, pulling both hotel guests and Iringa locals up the hill for the evening. The view over town and the surrounding highlands is the same draw that put the hotel on the map in the first place. Forest Garden Bar just gives people a reason to stay outside for it instead of on the terrace.
