Turkish wine and cheese in a Galata cellar

Sensus runs out of a vaulted cellar near the foot of Galata Tower, given over to Turkish wine. The list is one of the deepest in the city for domestic labels, poured by the glass and matched with boards of Anatolian cheese and charcuterie.

The low, stone-walled room is built for a slow evening working through unfamiliar native grapes. It is a good place to learn what Turkish wine is doing without committing to a full dinner.
